Join us for the first annual Live Like Jaxon Challenge! Jaxon Clark was a beloved son, brother, and friend to many who tragically died at the age of 21 as a result of a motorcycle accident. Jaxon radiated joy and love, brought laughter wherever he went, and exemplified perseverance and overcoming adversity. As a Sailor in the U.S. Navy, he cared deeply for his country and was a shining example that men can be both masculine and sensitive, powerful and emotional, strong and vulnerable. In honor of Jaxon, we are fundraising for Veterans Community Project (VCP) and their work to build 40 tiny homes for veterans in the City of Milwaukee. More information about their work can be found here: https://vcp.org/about-vcp/our-locations/milwaukee/
All funds received will be sent to VCP directly by GoFundMe via their charity fundraising service. Thank you for supporting veterans and for keeping Jaxon's memory alive!
Summary of VCP's plan for Milwaukee housing:
"Coming soon to a seven-acre site on Milwaukee’s northwest side, this specialized Village of 40 fully furnished tiny homes will feature on-site, wraparound support services to help Veterans experiencing homelessness rebuild stable, independent lives.
Each home provides more than just shelter—it offers a sense of sanctuary and space to heal. Built on permanent foundations and connected to city utilities, the homes include a full kitchen, bathroom, and living area. The Village will feature 40 fully furnished tiny homes—ranging from 240 to 320 square feet—designed to house both individuals and families. At the heart of the Village is the Village Center, a hub for support services and community connection. With case management offices, classrooms, and a fellowship hall, the space fosters stability, healing, and social support."
