Let's show support for our school librarian!

Christine Beachler has been a dedicated and loyal school staff member for 37 years, devoted to providing all students with outstanding educational opportunities. She has dedicated her career as a librarian to providing high quality literature for every single student. Although she is highly respected by students, colleagues, and the community, she has been the target of harmful and false allegations. A local individual associated with Moms for Liberty has publicly called her derogatory names, including “smut peddler” and “groomer,” in an attempt to tarnish her reputation and undermine her career. Additionally, the individual has spread misinformation repeatedly telling the community that Mrs. Beachler gives pornography to young children. All of these false accusations have been devastating to Mrs. Beachler and her family.

Why We Need Your Help:

Two years ago with the assistance of an attorney, Mrs. Beachler sent a cease and desist letter to the primary individual making the false claims, respectfully asking for it to end. Unfortunately, the constant attacks continue and have become worse where Mrs. Beachler has even received harm/death threats against her because of the vicious, untrue and targeted attacks. This is not the path Mrs. Beachler wanted to take, but in order to put an end to the disparaging harassment, she is now preparing to take a stand and file a civil lawsuit to clear her name, stop hateful comments and hold those responsible accountable for their defamatory actions. The funds raised will be used to cover legal fees, expert consultations, and any related expenses that will help her pursue accountability. Your donation, no matter the size, will be a powerful statement in support of truth and respect, as well as all students' and families' First Amendment right to make literature choices for themselves.

Every contribution is not only an investment in her defense but also a stand against baseless defamation in our community, a stand against attacks on other educators in the future and a stand for all school librarians defending our students' right to read.
