Legal Fund for Derwin Jones

Derwin recently began the 24rd year of a 30 year sentence despite being eligible for parole. He has endured much physical and mental suffering due to medical neglect and racist abuse from both staff and other prisoners.

Attempts to contact prison officials to try and explain his situation have been met with either silence or form responses.

That is why I’m raising money to hire an attorney in the hopes that his dire situation will finally get the attention it deserves. When I told Derwin I was setting this up he wanted to be sure I told everyone who donates or helps him that he appreciates it from the bottom of his heart.

Anything, big or small, really does help.
