On the 22nd of May, our lives changed forever when we lost our precious baby boy, Woody, at just 18 weeks pregnant. No words could ever truly describe the heartbreak, shock, and emptiness that comes with losing a baby you already loved so deeply. From the moment we found out about Woody, we dreamed about the future we would share with him — the cuddles, the laughter, watching him grow, seeing him with his family, and all the memories we would have made together. Even though his time with us was far too short, he will always be loved, always be remembered, and will forever be a huge part of our family.
The pain of baby loss is something no parent ever imagines having to face, and navigating life after losing Woody has been unimaginably difficult. There are days where the grief feels overwhelming, and days where we are simply trying to understand how the world keeps moving after losing someone so deeply wanted and loved. Woody may have only spent a short time in our arms and hearts, but he changed us forever. He mattered, he was loved beyond words, and he will always be our little boy.
In honour of Woody, and to keep his memory alive, we are taking on the challenge of completing Tough Mudder on July 25th 2026 in support of Sands. Sands is a charity that supports families facing the devastating loss of a baby, offering comfort, understanding, and support during the darkest moments while also raising awareness and funding research to help save babies’ lives. We want to do something for Woody, to honour his memory, and to help other families who may sadly face the same heartbreak.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will mean the world to us. Your support will not only help an incredible charity continue the work they do for grieving families, but it will also help us carry Woody’s name forward in a meaningful way. If you are unable to donate, simply sharing our fundraiser and keeping Woody in your thoughts means more than we could ever say. Thank you for supporting us, remembering our beautiful baby boy, and helping us turn some of our pain into something that may bring comfort and hope to others.
