Dear West Village,
With the unexpected situation that we are all in, this is an incredible place to find ourselves.
As we move forward into each day we are searching for ways that we all can supplement our income. For most of us at The Grocery, this "gig" and our other gigs are gone. The fear of not having a salary just got real.
As of right now, the crew at Jeffrey's is out of work for an unforeseeable amount of time. There are tools that the government has given but those are incredibly overwhelmed. Filing for unemployment has been met with the website crashing, misdirecting, and not enough telecommunication staff to help us with personal support.
We are creating this page because there has been some incredible acts that have started from you already. Regulars, friends, family have been asking how they can support us at this time. So here we go.
Were going to collect funds through this GoFundMe. Then we will distribute the collection equally to the back and front of house staff at Jeffrey's.
Soon enough we will be back to singing Abba in the middle of the day on a Saturday brunch and dancing to reggaeton on an unexpected Thursday night at midnight. Till then anything that you can send would help our community immensely.
