On 18th May, I will be running a half marathon in support of Alfie's Squad, a cause that is incredibly close to my heart. Alfie’s Squad is a non-profit organization that supports children bereaved by suicide.

Alfie’s squad has been a place that my nephew (& little bestie) Joshua could go to and has found a lot of support through going after losing his dad to suicide.

Alfie’s Squad is a non-profit organization founded by 14-year-old Alfie Fitzsimmons. The devastating loss of his father to suicide in May 2017 inspired Alfie to take action and make a difference in the lives of others facing similar challenges. The commitment to other children in Alfie’s situation is by offering our unique service utilizing team activities in our ‘squads’ to reduce the feeling of isolation, make friends and improve self worth. Our squads are specifically aimed at young people aged 8-16, but will also help parents and careers.
