Help Yvette Provide Free Period Care for Women

My name is Yvette Rodriguez, and I’m a Political Science major with a deep passion for equity, visibility, and care especially for women whose struggles often go unseen. I’ve recently started a personal mission to create and distribute free period care kits for women and girls who need them most: those experiencing homelessness, and those in schools, youth programs, and other community spaces that often lack access to basic period products.

As someone who got her period as young as 9, I saw early on how hard it can be to access something as basic as a pad. I was lucky to be the one my friends and others could turn to when they didn’t have supplies, but not everyone has that kind of support.

Condoms are free and accessible in most places. Pads are not. And it’s time we changed that.
