Help the Wael family rebuild their lives

Dear Friends,

We are the Wael Rok family from Gaza, and we write to you today with heavy hearts and an urgent plea for assistance. Never in our lives did we imagine that we would have to ask for help in this way, but the devastating circumstances we face leave us no choice.

We are a fatherless family of ten people, ranging in age from 3 to 48 years old. We are struggling to survive after losing our beloved father, a wonderful beekeeper, in the ongoing conflict. Our mother, Halima, is doing her best, but the situation is dire and violence is increasing day-by-day. The war has forced us to move from place to place over the past seven months, and we have lost everything, including our livelihood.

Our father (May God have mercy on him)’s small honey business was our lifeline, but the relentless violence has destroyed it, killing all our bees.

We need your help to evacuate to safety as soon as possible. Despite our efforts on social media, we have not been able to raise enough funds to secure our evacuation to Egypt. We understand that there are many people in similar circumstances. However, we can't give up—especially for the sake of our mother and our youngest siblings. Fares, who is only 3, does not really understand.

We desperately want to give him and all our children and siblings a chance to live.

The members of our family in need of urgent evacuation are:

Halima Wael Rok, (F) 48 years old - A hard working housewife who is grieving our father.

Rizq Wael Rok, (M) 24 years old- He works tirelessly as a paramedic without resources

Saba Wael Rok, (F) 25 years old- The wife of Rizq who is Fares mother

Fares (M) 3 years old - Child of Rizq and Saba

Our child siblings, Suliman (M) 14 years old, and Yahya (M) 15 years old.

Firas Wael Rok (M) 18 years old.

Shahed Wael Rok, (F) 20 years old- Our married sister.

Haniy Wael Rok, (M) 29 years old- Our sister's husband.

Gamal Wael Rok, (M) 25 years old- He just got married during the war.

Shorouk Wael Rok (F) 21 years old- Recently married to Gamal.

Our safety is at risk every day we remain here. The funds we raise will be used to pay the Egyptian travel agency, Hala Consulting and Tourism, which coordinates evacuations from Gaza.
