Last year, my life took a turn I never expected. I was losing my house, overwhelmed at work, and found myself sleeping in my car with my dogs—my chosen family. Through it all, I started writing again, weaving my real-life struggles into stories that blended mythic sci-fi, fantasy, and even Marvel fanfic. What began as imagination became a method for survival: write it, see it, feel it, believe it, and watch the universe mirror it back. My journey has been full of signs—my alternator died, I got a ranger warning for camping in the wrong spot, and my transmission failed in a Starbucks parking lot, right across from the dealership I needed, next to a tire shop, and near a pet-friendly hotel. It’s not perfect, but these moments have taught me to trust the process and keep moving forward.

Through every challenge, I refused to give up my dogs. Ohana means family—nobody gets left behind. I’ll sleep in my car as long as it takes, as long as I have my dragons with me.
