Our father, Waldeltrudis Malpica, has spent his life helping others without ever asking for anything in return. Now, he’s fighting Stage 3 Colon Cancer, dangerous infections, and a new liver mass — all while medical bills pile up. We’re asking for your prayers, love, and support to help him keep fighting and give him the chance he deserves.

Earlier this year (2025), our father was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer.

On May 21, 2025, he had surgery to remove the tumor. The surgeon chose not to place an ileostomy, and we hoped recovery would be straightforward. Weeks later, he grew seriously ill. On June 9, we rushed him to the ER but were sent to the wrong location, delaying care. By June 11, he needed emergency surgery for a severe leak in his colon, and an ileostomy was placed. He was in the hospital from June 9th-June 27th, 2025.

Since then, he’s endured:

1. A missed antibiotic dose the hospital later admitted

2. A C. difficile infection with fevers and severe abdominal pain

3. Anemia requiring a blood transfusion

4. A tube misplacement over Father’s Day weekend that caused excruciating pain

5. A worsening pelvic abscess, new colon inflammation, and bladder issues

Now, August 2025, we’ve received more devastating news: a new mass has been found in his liver. Doctors don’t know yet if it’s harmful, infection or cancer spread, but the uncertainty is terrifying. An MRI will tell us more.

Our family needs your help. Hospital stays, surgeries, and constant treatments have left bills piling up faster than we can handle. Once he’s stable, my father faces six months of chemotherapy starting August 2025.
