My name is Theresa Johnson. I am creating this fundraiser for my mother Veronica Smith and family in Shrewsbury, Westmoreland who were gravely affected by Hurricane Melissa. They are currently at a shelter as a result. Roofs are gone and other areas completely demolished. They have lost almost everything. This is the home we grew up in. It wasn’t what we wanted it to be but it was a shelter for my family. Our dear grandmother’s (now deceased) dwelling. It’s almost no more. My mother, sister and my niece ( who tragically lost her mom in 2017) resides there. They are now in need of food items and clothing until we can rebuild.

My sister who has 2 children, 1 with special needs (currently hospitalized) has lost everything. Appliances and clothing for the kids all gone. They are in need of food items, clothing, diapers and other needed supplies.

I’ve done what I can to help them so far but much more help is needed.

The catastrophe at this time is overwhelming for a lot of us so any donation or contribution to this cause will be greatly appreciated. The funds will be used for procuring food items, supplies, and rebuilding purposes. God bless you!
