Greetings to our friends, family, & compassionate supporters,
We're having a Baby!!!! and we appreciate your support in funding a private homebirth attended by a certified midwife; a choice rooted in both safety and empowerment.
This is not just about birthing a child. Navigating a healthcare system that too often fails us, this journey is about reclaiming autonomy, honoring tradition, and protecting maternal and infant health, especially as Asiatic women (which globally encompasses populations of whomever identify as black, negro, colored, Afro-, Latina, American indian, Aboriginal, indigenous, and/or Muur).
The Reality for Asiatic Mothers in Hospitals
The united states maternal healthcare crisis is real, and it disproportionately affects Asiatic women. Consider the facts:
- According to the Center for Disease Control research, Asiatic women are 2.6 times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than women of paleo-European decent.
- Despite income and education, Asiatic women report significantly higher rates of mistreatment in hospitals, such as being ignored, not having pain acknowledged, or being pressured into interventions.
- Studies show higher rates of unnecessary interventions in hospitals for Asiatic women, which can lead to increased complications and trauma.
Hospitals should be reserved for high-risk situations, not as the default for all births. For many of us, they have become environments where systemic prejudice, lack of consent, and trauma are common. However, expanding access to midwifery care could prevent more than 80% of maternal deaths, stillbirths, and neonatal deaths globally.
Homebirths allow for autonomy, safety, and culturally sensitive care.
My Birth Plan is a Choice of Empowerment Over Emergency.
We are planning a birth that is intentional, well-supported, and rooted in wellness rather than fear.
Our care will be overseen by an experienced midwife who will monitor me throughout the pregnancy and labor. In the rare event of an emergency, she is trained to respond immediately and has a hospital transfer plan in place.
This is about choosing safety in a system that has not always protected us.
What Your “Love Offering” Supports
While the overall cost of $8,300 is much more affordable than a hospital birth, this planned home birth will be an out-of-pocket expense that insurance does not support and the remainder of funds raised will go toward postpartum recovery.
Your donation will help cover:
* Midwife support (massage and/or guiding the baby out as needed, breathing guidance during labor/childbirth)
- Prenatal visits (to monitor Mother and Child's progress)
- Birth supplies & emergency equipment (in the event Baby arrives spontaneously)
- Doula support (preferred and deeply beneficial! Assists a midwife throughout labor and support for the family before, during, and after) $5,300
* Postpartum care (recovery time for Mother, home visits, and any necessary postpartum support required) $3,000
Why a Homebirth with a Midwife?
Midwifery care is a time-honored practice that centers personalized, respectful, and evidence-based support throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. Midwives provide:
* Continuous one-on-one care
* Personalized birth plans
* Lower intervention rates
* Holistic support of the birthing person’s physical, emotional, and cultural needs
Planned home births with trained professionals are proven to be safe for low-risk pregnancies and often result in better outcomes than hospital births.

Why a Doula?
Doula support is HIGHLY underrated and underutilized and has proven to be of great benefit for families who use it. Doulas are trained professionals who remain throughout the entire duration of pregnancy, labor, and delivery to provide non-medical support, such as:
- Informational support before, during, and after childbirth. Their role is to empower, comfort, and advocate for the birthing individual, helping to ensure a positive and informed birthing experience. During the crucial postpartum period where depression may set in due to hormonal fluctuation, Doulas assist mother, partner and child in adjusting to new circumstances, and may even provide herbal baths, womb-closing ceremonies, and other wholistic remedies to re-calibrate the mother’s body back to its original state.
- Physical support via massage, positioning, counter-pressure, and breathing techniques
- Emotional support during contractions, transitions, and decision-making, communicating the needs and preferences to medical staff or midwives whenever necessary as well as postpartum emotional support.

✅The Results of Midwifery and Homebirth
- Healthier pregnancy. Planned home births with a certified midwife have similar or better outcomes for healthy pregnancies compared to hospital births.
- Fewer interventions. Home births lead to significantly lower rates of C-sections, epidurals, and episiotomies.
- Better Breastfeeding outcomes. Midwifery care is associated with higher rates of breastfeeding, better postpartum outcomes, and greater satisfaction with the birth experience.
A landmark 2014 study published by a study series entitled The Lancet concluded that midwife-led care improves outcomes for both mother and child.
✊Birth Justice Is Reproductive Justice
When you support this campaign, you’re not just helping one mother, you’re standing up for birth justice and helping shift the narrative around Asiatic maternal health.
Together, we can build a world where birth is safe, sacred, and centered around the needs of the one who is birthing, not institutional policy, corporate bottom lines, or systemic biases.
Thank you for believing in the power of informed choice and compassionate care.
