<div><strong>The Reality for Asiatic Mothers in Hospitals</strong>
</div>
<div>The united states maternal healthcare crisis is real, and it disproportionately affects Asiatic women. <strong>Consider the facts:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>-	According to the Center for Disease Control research, <strong>Asiatic women are 2.6 times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes</strong> than women of paleo-European decent.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>-	Despite income and education, <strong>Asiatic women report significantly higher rates of mistreatment</strong> in hospitals, such as being ignored, not having pain acknowledged, or being pressured into interventions.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>-	<strong>Studies show higher rates of unnecessary interventions in hospitals for Asiatic women</strong>, which can lead to increased complications and trauma.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hospitals should be reserved for high-risk situations, not as the default for all births. For many of us, they have become environments where systemic prejudice, lack of consent, and trauma are common. However, <strong>expanding access to midwifery care could prevent more than 80% of maternal deaths, stillbirths, and neonatal deaths globally.</strong>

<div><strong>My Birth Plan is a Choice of Empowerment Over Emergency.</strong>

<div>We are planning a birth that is intentional, well-supported, and rooted in wellness rather than fear.

<div><strong>Our care will be overseen by an experienced midwife</strong> who will monitor me throughout the pregnancy and labor. In the rare event of an emergency, she is trained to respond immediately and has a hospital transfer plan in place.

<div>While the overall cost of $8,300 is much more affordable than a hospital birth, this planned home birth will be an out-of-pocket expense that insurance does not support and the remainder of funds raised will go toward postpartum recovery.

<div><strong>Doula support is HIGHLY underrated and underutilized </strong>and has proven to be of great benefit for families who use it. Doulas are trained professionals who remain throughout the entire duration of pregnancy, labor, and delivery to provide non-medical support, such as:

<div>- <strong>Informational support</strong> before, during, and after childbirth. Their role is to empower, comfort, and advocate for the birthing individual, helping to ensure a positive and informed birthing experience. During the crucial postpartum period where depression may set in due to hormonal fluctuation, Doulas assist mother, partner and child in adjusting to new circumstances, and may even provide herbal baths, womb-closing ceremonies, and other wholistic remedies to re-calibrate the mother’s body back to its original state.
