Help Universoul Cafe Recover After Devastating Break-In.

Over the weekend the Universoul Cafe space was broken into and tens of thousands of dollars in equipment and supplies are gone and the building is heavily damaged, but the work and the need to feed people in our community continues.

Universoul Cafe is one of Sacramento’s leading food recovery organizations. Founded by Tonya Mack in 2019, they do revolutionary work recovering high-quality, unused food from hotels, restaurants, and events—food that would otherwise go to waste—and repurposing it to feed hungry families across the city.

Universoul Cafe has distributed over a million meals since its conception in November 2019 and caters dozens of local events every month providing fresh meals for community partners.
