Hi everyone,

This is an urgent moment for The Radical Reading Room—one of the few community-run freespaces left in San Francisco!

Please contribute if you believe in our mission and have the means to help. If you don’t have the means, please share this GoFundMe widely.

On April 15, 2025, we were six months behind ($2k x 6) on rent including May’s rent (we’re supposed to pay the rent for the next month on the 15th). We needed to raise $4k before May 1st which we successfully did! $1,324.80 of the $4k was raised on Givebutter and the rest was raised on GoFundMe.

Now we need to raise another $14k before August 15th. We’ve set the total goal to $17,250. The extra amount is to cover payment processor fees for this GoFundMe fundraiser. As more donations come in via other platforms, we’ll keep reducing the goal here!

For regular visitors, becoming a monthly patron offers 24/7 access to this peaceful sanctuary for reading, writing & coworking (though it's not ideal for meetings).
