We are fundraising to support our dear friend who has experienced acute housing insecurity for several years. Right now, she’s in a safe and stable place with an opportunity to catch her breath, but only for the next few months. She is raising funds now to address some of her immediate needs while she begins to heal, and to ensure she has what she needs for the next steps.

We all know how incredibly resilient and determined she is, but prolonged housing insecurity has a profound impact on mental and physical health. This year has been particularly brutal and she is at a turning point. With your help she can take the first steps toward stability and recovery.

Here’s how your donation will make a difference:

1. Basic Needs: First things first - toiletries and personal needs items, including period products, oral care supplies, etc.

2. Identification Renewal Fees: We’re raising funds to cover the fees to renew and update her health card and ID so she can access healthcare, employment, housing, and other support services.

2. Eye Care: to update a severe and worsening prescription.

2. Dental Care: to get a dental cleaning, X-rays, and any necessary treatments to restore her smile and overall health.

3. Winter Clothes: The cold months are fast approaching, and she needs warm, reliable winter gear to ensure her safety and comfort, including a coat, boots, gloves, scarf, socks, etc.

5. Tax Filing: Raising funds to pay for online filing as she is currently gathering late file penalties.

6. Basic Connectivity: She does not currently have a working phone, which she needs desperately to access other supports.
