Help My Dad Enjoy Life While Fighting Cancer

My dad has always been strong, hardworking, and the kind of man who never slowed down. He’s never been sick a day in his life, never taken more than a Tylenol, and the only times he ever went to the doctor were for injuries while serving as a firefighter back home.

Two years ago, he went to the doctor because of blood in his stool. They ended up finding something in his throat, did a biopsy, and removed it. Thankfully it wasn’t cancer, but in his records it was marked that he “once had cancer,” which left us confused. Fast forward to June of this year — after months of being told it was “allergies,” tests finally showed he has lung cancer in a location that cannot be operated on. Just yesterday, we learned he also has 5–6 polyps in his colon region.

The doctors want to fight the lung cancer first, so he’s going through four rounds of chemo. He’s already had his first.

My dad and my brother run a body shop, working on cars for local dealerships. He’s always been a provider, never asking for help, and never letting illness slow him down. But now he can’t work like he used to, and I want to be able to help him in a way that gives him more than just treatments.

This fundraiser isn’t about paying bills — it’s about giving my dad a chance to enjoy life while he still can. Whether that’s a day out, a small trip, or simply having one less thing to worry about, I want him to have moments of peace and joy in the middle of this fight.
