<div>My dad has always been strong, hardworking, and the kind of man who never slowed down. He’s never been sick a day in his life, never taken more than a Tylenol, and the only times he ever went to the doctor were for injuries while serving as a firefighter back home.

<div>Two years ago, he went to the doctor because of blood in his stool. They ended up finding something in his throat, did a biopsy, and removed it. Thankfully it wasn’t cancer, but in his records it was marked that he “once had cancer,” which left us confused. Fast forward to June of this year — after months of being told it was “allergies,” tests finally showed he has lung cancer in a location that cannot be operated on. Just yesterday, we learned he also has 5–6 polyps in his colon region.

<div>The doctors want to fight the lung cancer first, so he’s going through four rounds of chemo. He’s already had his first.

<div>My dad and my brother run a body shop, working on cars for local dealerships. He’s always been a provider, never asking for help, and never letting illness slow him down. But now he can’t work like he used to, and I want to be able to help him in a way that gives him more than just treatments.

<div>This fundraiser isn’t about paying bills — it’s about giving my dad a chance to enjoy life while he still can. Whether that’s a day out, a small trip, or simply having one less thing to worry about, I want him to have moments of peace and joy in the middle of this fight.
