On August 20, 2026, our lives changed when Miguel Gama was detained by ICE in Austin, Texas.

Miguel has lived in the United States since 2022. He entered the country legally with a visa and has a pending asylum case. He is now being detained while his family and legal team work to secure his release on bond and continue fighting his immigration case.

Miguel is a loving father of three children who are waiting for him at home. He is a hardworking family man, a business owner, and a valued member of his community. Through his businesses, Miguel has created jobs and opportunities for other families and has worked hard to build a life for the people he loves.

Miguel has no criminal history.

Returning Miguel to Mexico would put him in serious danger, which is why his family is urgently fighting to keep him safe and allow his asylum case to continue.

We are raising funds to help cover Miguel's immigration legal expenses, bond, and other costs associated with bringing him home and supporting his case. We don't yet know the final amount of his bond, but we want to be prepared as soon as one is set.
