Help Me Adapt My Car So I Can Work and Live IndependentlyHel

Hello my name is Lisa and thank you for taking the time to read my story.
I am disabled and recently passed my driving test, which was a huge personal achievement after a car crash (I was a passenger) four years ago. Being able to drive would give me the independence I need to work, attend appointments, and live my life with dignity.
I only have the use of one arm and I walk with a crutch due to knee and back issues. Because of this, I need specialist adaptations fitted to a car so that I can drive safely and legally. The cost of these adaptations is £1,600.
Unfortunately, I am not eligible for any grants or financial assistance and have been told I must cover the full cost myself. Without these adaptations, I cannot drive—and without being able to drive, my ability to work and support myself is extremely limited.
Having an adapted car would allow me to:
Travel to and from work independently
Access job opportunities that are currently out of reach
Attend medical appointments without relying on others
Regain independence, confidence, and stability
Be able to take my son out independently
Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward adapting my car so I can work and build a more independent future. If you’re unable to donate, sharing my page would mean just as much.
Thank you so much for your kindness, support, and belief in my independence.
