<div>Hello my name is Lisa and thank you for taking the time to read my story.
</div>
<div>I am disabled and recently passed my driving test, which was a huge personal achievement after a car crash (I was a passenger) four years ago. Being able to drive would give me the independence I need to work, attend appointments, and live my life with dignity.
</div>
<div>I only have the use of one arm and I walk with a crutch due to knee and back issues. Because of this, I need specialist adaptations fitted to a car so that I can drive safely and legally. The cost of these adaptations is £1,600.
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, I am not eligible for any grants or financial assistance and have been told I must cover the full cost myself. Without these adaptations, I cannot drive—and without being able to drive, my ability to work and support myself is extremely limited.
</div>
<div>Having an adapted car would allow me to:
</div>
<div>Travel to and from work independently
</div>
<div>Access job opportunities that are currently out of reach
</div>
<div>Attend medical appointments without relying on others
</div>
<div>Regain independence, confidence, and stability
</div>
<div>Be able to take my son out independently
</div>
<div>Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward adapting my car so I can work and build a more independent future. If you’re unable to donate, sharing my page would mean just as much.
</div>
<div>Thank you so much for your kindness, support, and belief in my independence.
</div>
