Help Save The Path of Positivity!

Donation protected
Hey Neighbour!
Welcome to The Path of Positivity! - 100% community funded and run by volunteers.

We are almost HALFWAY!! Thank you to everyone who has donated to get us this far :)
We need to raise £400 more to place our next paint order

Pls follow us on Instagram @the_path_of_positivity - 'love' some photos, give us some words of encouragement, and send us a DM if you'd like to volunteer!

I’m Colleen, former Deputy Mayor and Marlovian, who started this project in collaboration with Marlow Football Club to support young people's mental health.

We need donations from kind people like you who love what we're doing so we can continue spreading positive vibes to each and everyone of us!

Our target is subject to change, as we may need more funds for paint and if we continue to Phase 2 where the additional funds will go towards landscaping all the dirt and unkempt ground in front of the wall. Donations and volunteering are very much appreciated!

Why This Project Matters
  • 50% increase in the last three years of young people having a mental health problem (childrensociety.org.uk)
  • 5 children in a classroom of 30 are likely to have a mental health problem (childrensociety.org.uk)

Location
This neglected 150m long urban footpath runs alongside Marlow Football Club and connects Oak Tree Road and Trinity Court.

The Project
The Path of Positivity started as an idea to support young people’s mental health; to give students a confidence boost or new perspective on their way to and from school by turning a dull wall into vibrant student artwork and uplifting messages. This footpath connects residents and students from five of our seven local schools, making it a key community space.

What We've Done So Far

We must complete the murals to the end - we can't let our students and schools down! Help us spread good vibes and inspire young people.

How Murals Help
  • Murals have proven to be therapeutic, fostering mental wellbeing (mintandmabel.com)
  • Studies have shown exposure to vibrant colours triggers the release of dopamine, promoting a sense of happiness and relaxation (mintandmabel.com)

The Ask
We need £4500+ to cover: primer, paint, UV/Anti-graffiti sealant, and supplies - yes this sounds like a lot but we are covering 300 square metres of wall!!

The total may be less for these items but we need to factor in a 30p charge for each donation and the 2.9% that GoFundMe keeps.

Whether you're a business or local family this isn't just a donation, and it's not a limited sponsorship ad for a one-off event - you're building a legacy and investing in our wonderful town.
We are using specialty outdoor concrete primer, paint for murals and sealant that will last for 20 years.

Family Sponsorship
£200 create a family legacy where your family name will appear on our sponsor wall for you and your family to see and remember the wonderful contribution you have made to young people's mental health and the community (10 REMAINING)

Business or Organisation Sponsorship
