Help Grandma Cathy Fight Lung Cancer
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
If you know me, then you probably know my grandmother, Cathy Cain. She’s the woman who helped raise both my brother and me, right alongside my dad. To know Grandma Cathy is to know one of the sweetest, most hardworking women you’ll ever meet. She’s a loving mother, a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, and someone who’s always put her family first.
Recently, during a routine heart and lung scan, doctors found a mass in the upper lobe of her left lung. She’s been more focused on her health since losing my dad, her son, and thankfully, because she’s stayed proactive, this mass was caught relatively early. After further testing, Grandma was diagnosed with lung cancer — specifically, invasive moderately-differentiated keratinizing squamous cell carcinoma.
As you can imagine, this news has turned our world upside down. In order to begin treatment and focus fully on her health, Grandma has had to stop working as a truck driver, something that’s not just her livelihood, but a part of her identity. She’s still trying to make ends meet by delivering through DoorDash, but with upcoming procedures, recovery, and treatment, it’s just not sustainable.
That’s why I’ve created this GoFundMe — to help relieve some of the financial pressure so she can truly focus on what matters: her health and her time with family. My hope is that we can come together to support a woman who’s given so much of herself to everyone around her. Anything helps, and every bit of kindness means more than you know.
Thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting Grandma Cathy through this difficult chapter.
With love and gratitude,
