My name is Anthony Perez and I am a traveling content creator who's passion lies rooted into cultural immersion and deep dives into the indigenous way of life.
When Does the Trip Begin?
In Feb 2024, I embarked on the single greatest and most ambitious trip of my life that will take me across the three regions comprised of Oceania: Polynesia, Melanesia, & Micronesia, with a visit to the Torres Strait in Australia.
But my journey will involve more than everyday travel. As a content creator and storyteller, I will be traversing over 40 different island cultures to document culture, tradition, language, dance, and way of life to share via multiple story structures that will represent the people and culture.
The intention of this journey is not only to promote pride within the culture and its people, but as a means for the outside world to understand this region of the world, that is sustainable and respectful.

The MAIN purpose of this fundraiser:
1) To help offset the initial high cost of FLIGHTS between islands
2) To hire help with projects during production and post production. This could be anywhere from hiring translators, researchers, and historians. To animators, time in sound studios, music and video footage licensing, and editors. In the end this is intended to spend more intimate time connecting with people via interviews and gathering all the necessary resources for my projects.
Why this Fundraiser is so Important?
I have been blessed to have spent the past 4-5 years immersed in Hawaiian culture and documenting it for my documentary, Living Like A Hawaiian.
As an emerging creator and even filmmaker, I am needing help to kickstart my work that will involve deep cultural immersion across the Pacific. The work that I have done in previous trips in the Pacific and Hawai’i have portrayed true representations of the cultures and their people. Which is what my intentions are for all of my video projects, to give back to local communities!

My gathered savings including my forecasted savings up until this trip begins totals $12,000
This fundraiser will help bridge the gap of a budget I need totaling $17,000.

Living Like A Palauan was the first of it's kind of what I intend to give to the people across the Pacific, like I did for Palauans.
