Edgar Hernandez Gomez was racially profiled and detained by ICE in South Gate on State St and Southern Ave on 12/2/2025 at 10:40am only for being Latino. He was houseless and was looking for ways to bring himself out of a difficult situation through the help of local family who had offered him food and shelter and an opportunity to establish himself. He's currently being detained under extremely inhumane conditions at the Metropolitan Detention Center.

Él estaba en busca de salir de una situación difícil, él tenía apoyo de una familia local que le ofreció comida, una casa donde se podía quedar y trabajo. Actualmente está detenido en condiciones extremadamente inhumanas en el centro metropolitano de detención.
