Hello everyone! My name is Wendy and I am one of the daughters of Flor. This fundraising is for my mom FLORENDA RIEZA.

She came here to the US to just visit my sister in California and me here in Georgia. On the day of August 1st, I came home from work and we had breakfast as the usual. She then complained of a sudden severe headache. She was screaming and crying. She was very nauseous and started vomiting.

I was very concerned of her having another stroke so I rushed her immediately to Piedmont Augusta Emergency Department. They immediately took care of her, did all the scans and gave us the room down in the ED. While we were waiting, she complained of chest pain and I immediately her Nurse about it. They took several EKGs and it showed that she is having a heart attack and her blood work then showed that she needed immediate blood transfusions. After the first bag of blood, she started to have labored breathing. She had respiratory failure and that is when they intubated her.

It had been almost a month since that happened. She is still in the Cardiovascular (CV) Intensive Care Unit (ICU). She is struggling but she is still fighting.
