On Friday, 16 October 2026, our friend Ajay Malik was attacked by two dogs while out for a run at Seventh Brigade Park in Chermside, Brisbane. He suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital for urgent care.

What should have been an ordinary evening became a frightening, life-changing experience. Ajay now faces a long recovery, both physically and emotionally.

Why We Are Raising Funds

Ajay will be unable to work for a long time. That means a significant loss of income for him and his wife, at the same time as medical and rehabilitation costs begin to add up.

We are raising $300,000 to help cover months of living costs and recovery expenses, so Ajay and his wife can focus on his healing rather than on bills.

- Rent, bills and essential living expenses while he is off work
- Medical, rehabilitation and follow-up appointment costs
- Transport to and from appointments
