Hi, my name is Maya Gunhammer , and I’m creating this GoFundMe (with assistance from Jillian) on behalf of my family and our incredible father.

Earlier this year, our family was forever changed when we lost our beloved mother. She was the heart of our home—the one who held us all together with her love, strength, and kindness. Her passing has left an enormous hole in our lives, and while we’re doing our best to stay strong, the emotional and financial weight of this loss has been overwhelming.

Since her passing, our father has stepped up in every way he can. He’s been doing his best to provide for us, even as he works through his own grief. Unfortunately, due to his age and ongoing medical issues, he hasn’t been able to work as much as he wants—or needs—to. And with young children still depending on him, the pressure has only grown heavier.

Right now, we’re struggling with housing instability. We’re doing everything we can to stay afloat, but what we need most is a permanent place to call home—a safe, stable foundation for our family to rebuild and heal.

That’s why we’re asking for your help.

We’re hoping to raise $20,000 to put toward a down payment on a modest home and help cover basic necessities. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to stability and peace of mind. More than anything, we want to give our dad the security he deserves after all the sacrifices he’s made, and to give our family a chance to start again.
