She recently fell victim to a sophisticated scam. The people behind it pretended to be federal agents and used what looked like legitimate PayPal messages. Everything she worked her whole life for was taken — her savings, her retirement, and now even her home is at risk.

My mom is 70 years old and living on a small teacher’s pension that barely covers her expenses.

I’m a firefighter and paramedic, and I’ve spent my life helping others through emergencies. But right now, I’m trying to save my mom from hers.
