This is my 20th year as a Nurse! Wow that flew by!

My purpose in this life has been to serve others. As a nurse I can say I have truly done that and hope to for many more years! I have always wanted to be able to participate in a medical mission to serve those who are underserved, though the timing has always been not right. However, the stars have aligned and the time is right for me to do my first mission trip to serve the wonderful people of Honduras. I will be part of a team from New Hampshire that will travel to a rural village in Limon, Honduras 5/26-6/4. The organization I will be voluntering with is called the Caroline Honduras Health Foundation (CHHF.org). CHHF sends about 18-19 teams each year to provide medical and dental care to the underserved people of rural Honduras and surrounding villages. The care our team provides throughout the year is the only medical care these people receive. In a typical week we will see hundreds of patients and dispense over 1000 prescriptions.

The cost of the mission trip is about 2400.00. I am asking friends and family to consider helping to support my mission if you are willing and able to. Any funds raised beyond the cost to help cover my trip will be donated to help purchase medical supplies and medications to use for our patients during my week of service. My team has also created a non-profit registered 501 (c)(3) charity called Whisper of Hope.
