11 years ago, we came up with the idea to have Christmas Carols on the Green at Headless Cross, ON Christmas Eve. What could be more magical?
Our dream became a reality in 2014, we couldn't believe our eyes when hundreds of people turned out with lanterns & torches and sang their hearts out to traditional Christmas Carols. Each year got bigger and bigger, and it has now become quite a tradition for families to walk up to the green at dusk with lanterns, torches and a hip flask hiding away in a pocket! shhh!
In 2018 we were gifted some beautiful lights, which light up the trees and turn our Green into a Christmas wonderland & bring great joy to those who see them. However, putting the lights onto the trees, taking them down again and storing them comes at a cost, and we also have to have a road closure in place, to keep you all safe! which is where we need your help. This event is attended by hundreds of you, year after year. If you could spare a couple of pounds per person that attend, we could cover the cost and continue to light up the green in December. Can you help? We know this is a big ask, particularly in the current climate we are all facing, but we know how much joy the lights, and the carols, bring to so many of you.
