Hi, my name is Michelle Kraus, and I am humbly asking for support for my parents during one of the hardest times our family has ever faced.

Two weeks ago, my mom, Maggie, was in a horrific car accident caused by a driver under the influence of drugs. Her injuries are severe — she has a broken collarbone, left arm, right leg, ankle, and sternum, along with a fractured vertebra in her spine and internal injuries. She has already undergone five surgeries, and more are still ahead.

The road to recovery will be long, painful, and expensive. In just these first two weeks, we’ve spent a great deal on travel, meals, and medical necessities so we can stay close to her and support her through every step. With so much still ahead, we’ve reached a point where we need to ask for help.

Our family’s only focus right now is helping Mom heal — physically, emotionally, and mentally — and giving her the strength and support she needs to one day reclaim her independence. Any contribution, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to making that possible.
