This fall I’ll be running the Cambridge Half Marathon in support of Horizons for Homeless Children - an incredible nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of young children experiencing homelessness in Massachusetts.
Their mission is powerful: to provide high-quality early education, opportunities for play, and comprehensive family support services.
As a Playspace Activity Leader ("PAL") volunteer, I’ve seen firsthand how meaningful these moments of connection can be. I spend time each week at a local shelter playing with kids - reading, building, pretending, listening... It’s an opportunity for them to just be kids.
With your support, Horizons can continue to:
- Provide essential early education and developmental resources for young children.
- Create safe and nurturing play environments that foster social and emotional growth.
- Offer comprehensive support services for families, helping them achieve stability and success.
