Dear Friends of Pandit Satya Narayana Charka, students, and the East-West School of Dance,
Love and Greetings to all! This is a fundraising initiative that has been brought forth by the gracious students of the East-West School of Dance. We thank you in advance for taking the time to understand our motive and give our beloved Guru Ji, Pandit Satya Narayana Charka Ji, and his family, a better life here in Monroe, New York.
We are grateful for your participation and support throughout the years with our various performances. The school has been a pioneer in North America especially in presenting classical Indian Kathak Dance and innovative dance dramas. Its objective is to help achieve a deeper understanding and harmony between east and west to allow for cultural and spiritual enrichment. This is done by integrating tradition and modern values through education in the universal language of dance.
In acknowledgement of Pandit Satya Narayana Charka’s contribution to the public, we are requesting your help and generosity in this urgent matter.
Guru Ji and his family are in need of a renovated home at the Ananda Ashram located in Monroe, New York. This project has been in the preliminary planning stage for many years, and now, it is time to move this project into the forefront. The new 2-bedroom apartment is going to be a part of the new Shanti Sadanam building on the Ashram grounds.
It is time to give back to someone who has brought, and given, so much to the community. Over the past few months, this motion has received many donations and pledges from various people around the globe. We are more than half way there, and only require a little more funding to get the project moving so that Guru Ji and his family can live a peaceful life, not constantly interrupted by the various repair issues.
We invite you to give according to your own heart and to encourage others to help. No gift is too small or too great.
