Go Get Em Tiger // G&B Tip Jar
Donation protected
Hi there,
If you’re reading this, it’s possible that we are already friends. It’s even more likely that I or one of the many incredible people who work at GGET have made you coffee or breakfast over the almost 7 years this company has been brick and mortar. The people are who have always made going into GGET cafes special, and now these folks need your help.
There isn't a person who has not been hard hit financially by the COVID-19 outbreak. This must be the umpteenth version of this that you’ve seen on social media, but I don’t care. What I DO care about are all the humans that work in our cafes, commissary, and production whose livelihoods depend on being able to work and make tips. Many of them continue to work in the cafes that remain open as takeaway/delivery spots, while others have chosen to self-quarantine and return to work when they feel safe. I’ve said this to many folks by now, but there are fewer things that would be more important to me than taking care of the large group of people I have the pleasure of working with. The admiration I have for every one of our baristas, kitchen staff, bakers, and dishwashers is overwhelming and I know many of you share that feeling too because I SEE YOU continuing to support in any way you can!
I’m asking for your support on behalf of all the Go Get Em Tiger/G&B staff who rely on tips or whose hours have been reduced: please donate to the GGET tip jar. If you've been into one of our stores before, you know there's never been a visible tip jar. One of my favorite baristas of all time would say, "The bar is our jar" and, well, consider this page our digital bar.
This tip jar will be distributed to the over 100 folks who work in our stores and commissary. We’ve got 8 stores going on 9 and an incredible commissary, all filled with the most kind and hard-working people, and they all have no idea what the rest of 2020 looks like. In an effort to keep it equitable, the tip jar will be divided evenly. Of course if there are specific baristas/cooks/bakers that you connect with and wish to support, they more than likely have a Venmo they can share with you! Please consider donating if you have the ability to, and please everyone take care of each other (at a distance) and yourselves.
Love,
Jaymie
