Join the Fight Against Parkinson’s: Support MY Marathon Fundraiser!
Parkinson’s disease is a progressive brain disorder that affects movement and quality of life. It’s caused by the loss of nerve cells that produce dopamine—a vital chemical messenger in the brain that helps regulate mood, motivation, and pleasure.
Today, over 10 million people worldwide are living with Parkinson’s. Recent studies estimate that 11.77 million people were affected in 2021, and this number is expected to soar to 25 million by 2050. That’s an increase of more than 13 million people who will need support, care, and hope.
I’m running a marathon in just seven days to raise funds for Parkinson’s UK—a charity dedicated to research and support for those affected by this cruel disease. My inspiration is someone truly special who has lived with Parkinson’s for over a decade. This person is a wonderful, and caring, as well as my “human calculator,” helping me with my maths homework and always supporting me and my siblings.
I’ve never known them without Parkinson’s, and I wish they could have watched me play football and live a life without the limitations this disease brings.
Your donation can make a real difference. By supporting Parkinson’s UK, you’re helping to fund vital research, provide resources for families, and bring hope to millions. Every pound brings us closer to better treatments—and, one day, a cure.
Please donate today and help us change lives. Together, we can make a difference.
