Hi there! I’m Will, also known as Benedick the Bastard. I’m an arts educator by day, and a drag king… the rest of the time.

After a nine-month waiting period, I was scheduled to have life-changing top surgery on 7/22, but at the end of the workday on the Friday beforehand, the surgery was cancelled. Now, after dealing with the aftermath and trying to come to a solution, it’s clear that surgery won’t be coming anytime soon.

In the meantime, I’ve taken a month off of work (unpaid) that I can not get back, and have structured my entire life around this surgery and the recovery process that is now not going to happen. I not only need to support myself this month, but for when I actually do get the surgery. I am additionally pursuing legal action against the surgeon who cancelled.

This whole situation has been an absolute nightmare, and I’d appreciate any help I can possibly get. ❤️‍
