Help Us Help Bryce

Two weeks ago—at 7:48 a.m. on St. George Street—a member of our unhoused community set fire to Bryce’s car. Within minutes he lost his vehicle, a number of personal belongings, and the sense of security every young parent deserves.
Bryce, true to form, delivered an incredible tasting experience at 9am and 11am, finished his shift that day, and, as he always does made guests feel the Epoch Hospitality we strive for. That resilience is inspiring—but it shouldn’t be necessary.
Moncton’s growing unhoused population is a symptom of systemic failures we haven’t solved—failures other cities (from Scandinavian capitals to Fredericton under Marcel Lebrun’s leadership) are addressing with proven programs. Until similar, durable solutions reach our neighbourhood, everyday citizens are left to pick up the pieces.
All told Bryce is out almost 2k.
And that is only because his brother generously sold him his old car at the amount Bryce was able to get from Insurance.
If we raise more than the damages, the rest will go to an education fund for Bryce and Jess’ growing little boy!
For four-and-a-half years Bryce has poured his skill, creativity, and warmth into every cup he serves. Let’s repay that generosity.
Thank you for proving—once again—that community is stronger than chaos. Together, let’s turn a moment of destruction into a catalyst for solidarity.
With Gratitude,
