Ezekiel's Story

Ezekiel was born with a rare chromosome abnormality, that left him battling several challenges throughout his life. After being diagnosed with epilepsy as an infant, hospitals and doctor visits very quickly became familiar places for him and his family.

But despite the difficult challenges he faced throughout his life, Zeke's tenacious and youthful spirit never faded.

He loved watching yellow school busses go by and dancing under Friday night lights with his high school cheer team. He loved camping at Jellystone and riding in his mom's jeep. But most of all, he loved his "Bear-Bear," and his mother, Lauralee, who devoted her life to be his caretaker. Zeke took his last breath in February of this year, but his legacy of love will live on forever.

Event and Donation Information

This 5k race, in memory of Zeke, is raising money for the Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado & Wyoming to help others just like Zeke and their families. But for those who do not wish to participate in the race, or who want to make a donation in addition to purchasing a race ticket, you can donate here! All money raised will go directly to the foundation.
