Eyes on The River: Juneau Flood Solution Advocates

"Eyes on The River", is the Juneau Flood Solution Advocate’s latest project. With the installation of the HESCO barriers, there is a need more than ever to be able to see what is happening on our river. This project will endeavor to install solar-powered, night vision cameras on private property in key locations along the Mendenhall River. With the goal of live streaming for the public before, during, and after the declared outburst period.

Seeing can provide immediate information to the community as well as valuable information to others monitoring and wanting to see where and how our river is flowing.

We have the support of local businesses and homeowners and are ready to proceed with purchasing the cameras, equipment, and initial setup for streaming with your help.
