Empower Haitian Kids: Unite for a Brighter Future

Back in 2007-2008, Jerry Mike and his circle of friends—began a heartfelt tradition . They pooled their resources, raising money from parents and friends to purchase a nourishing meal for those in need in the street of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. It was more than just about food; it was about community, hope, and making a difference at our age —one meal at a time & one person at a time.

Those years were marked by unity, resilience, and a deep desire to help others despite limited means. Jerry Mike’s unwavering dedication and leadership inspired everyone around him to think beyond themselves, to see the power of collective effort, and to understand that even small acts of kindness can create ripples of change.

Today, we gather not just to celebrate life and party, but to honor Jerry Mike’s legacy of compassion.

This year, Jerry Mike would want us to carry that spirit forward with a purpose. We are coming together to raise awareness and support for Haitian children living in some of the most vulnerable conditions—children who face daily challenges that many of us cannot imagine.

Our goal is to make a tangible impact. All proceeds from today’s fundraiser will be donated directly to Save the Children in Connecticut—an organization committed to improving the lives of children worldwide, especially those in Haiti. The funds will be transferred straight from GoFundMe to the organization, ensuring transparency and that every dollar goes where it’s needed most—without touching my personal bank account.
