Celebrating Culture and Sparking Change in Kasaï, the authentic cultural Heart of Congo

We are on a mission to celebrate and revitalize the rich cultural heritage of the Kasaï region in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Our journey began with Natisas deep calling to reconnect with his roots, explore the culture, and support the people of Kasaï by looking at their heritage from a new perspective.

What we found was a society in transition - somewhat self-sufficient, resilient, and largely untouched by globalization, but lost in its essence. Colonization has gradually eroded the cultural roots and traditional knowledge that once shaped their identity and pride. People have forgotten where they came from.

Why This Cause Matters

As we traveled through the cultural heart of Congo, the challenges were clear: the roads are non-existent, infrastructure is minimal, and opportunities are scarce. Since the government doesn’t seem to care about these communities, meaningful change has been slow to come. Yet, we believe the answer lies in one powerful force—art. Art and culture are the catalysts that can inspire change, ignite pride, and bring a new vision of the future to life.

The youth, in particular, hold the key to this transformation. By celebrating their heritage, we aim to empower the next generation to honor their roots while embracing innovation and creating a path forward that respects their traditions.

Chiefs and cultural leaders are longing for change and are offering their support and blessings to bring this vision to life.

Our Vision and How Your Support Will Make a Difference

In 2025, we will organize a local festival in Kasaï to bring together village chiefs (community leaders), local artist and artists from Kinshasa as well as international visitors, to celebrate and share their cultural heritage. This festival will serve as the foundation for a larger movement of cultural preservation and empowerment. These people never had the chance to experience a festival and the benefit it has on personal and communal growth. In addition to music, performance and art, the festival will be a place to share ancient skills in crafts, a contest to wear traditional clothing in an original way, natural hairstyles, and many other things to strengthen pride in heritage. We plan to bring state-of-the-art light and video installations to ignite inspiration and hope for change.

But this is just the beginning.

Our vision extends to a global stage with the creation of a documentary that will be showcased in Paris and Berlin, to raise awareness and inspire action on a global scale.

To ensure long-term impact, we also plan to make follow-up visits to continue building relationships and supporting ongoing cultural initiatives.

How Your Donations Will Be Used

We need your help to bring this vision to life. Your donations will directly fund:

* $12,000 to cover the costs of our initial journey to Congo. This money went straight towards people in Congo for school fees, family support, food, permits, compensation for everyone we filmed and photographed, travel expenses for of a lot of people and many other things for weeks. Congo is more expensive than Paris. We realized that as much as we want be generous, we can't do it alone. It has become way bigger than us and what we can afford.

* $50,000 to organize the festival, including travel expenses and food for 460 village chiefs and artists.

* $18,000 to create and exhibit the documentary in Paris and Berlin.

* $20,000 to fund follow-up visits, ensuring sustainable progress and long-term engagement with the community. The money will go directly to the people that we work with.
