The need for social interaction and mental stimulation in long-term care facilities is more important now more than ever. My goal is to provide drums and percussion instruments to multiple Retirement and Long-Term care homes while facilitating Zoom drumming sessions that will help to deal with issues such as mental decline and social isolation.
The money raised will cover the cost of drums needed to provide this service to multiple homes.

THE DRUMS
The REMO Rhythm Lid is a synthetic frame-style drum that is very versatile. The drum has been designed to attach to any 13" plastic bucket and is easily removable for different playing capabilities. Being a synthetic drum, the REMO Rhythm Lid does not have a porous surface so the disinfecting process is very simple.
The REMO Tubano drum is also a synthetic drum with removable heads. The Tubano series are "nesting drums" that can be stacked inside each drum for ease of transportation and storage.
Why does this mean so much to me?
While facilitating, I've seen people move, dance, smile, laugh, sing and connect, all because of rhythm. Rhythm can bring about beautiful memories and emotional connections to one's past. It sparks creativity in the moment and after the moment. It forces you to listen yet grabs your attention to all that's going on in you and around you.
