WHO WE ARE

We are Somos TIAS (Take Inspired Action Siempre) — a group of neighbors dedicated to extending care and support to the vulnerable and at risk within our communities.

We came together after witnessing the fear and trauma caused by the immigration raids carried out by ICE throughout our communities, to include violent detainments as parents are simply trying to bring their children to school. The blatant disregard for our rights and laws, and the targeting of our neighbors simply because of the color of their skin or the language they speak has no place in our communities.

We are volunteers working together to provide food, emergency support, and medical and legal assistance, while also offering solidarity and connection to immigrant families, who now live in constant fear — afraid to leave their homes due to their immigration status or risk of being racially profiled.

Our mission is simple: to build stronger, safer, and more inclusive communities by providing those in need with what they need, when they need it.

HOW WE MAKE AN IMPACT

With your support, TIAS volunteers are able to:

• Deliver Food & Supplies: Weekly deliveries of groceries and supplies to ensure families who are afraid to leave their homes have the basic necessities to survive.

• Coordinate Donations: Partnering with local businesses and individuals to bring resources directly to community members.

• Crisis Support: Showing up when families face a sudden separation that removes a breadwinner from the home, leaving children and loved ones traumatized and without resources.

• Legal & Administrative Support: Educating families on their rights and helping them get prepared in the event a loved one is detained.

• Letters & Outreach: Sharing kindness and connection through letter-writing and other acts of solidarity for those in detention or facing immigration court proceedings.
