Hi Family and Friends,
My name is Kat Chhing and I am Tommy Hoang's sister.
On Wednesday, February 10th 2021, our beloved Tommy was viciously attacked and robbed by 3 individuals. The attack left Tommy with severe and life threatening injuries. Most significantly, the slash to his neck caused extreme blood loss, as well as extensive brain damage. Tommy is currently in a coma and being monitored constantly. He has received a CT scan that confirms that the brain damage not only leaves him with a low chance of survival, but with survival he will have significant deficiencies in his life hereafter.
Tommy has a 5 year old daughter, whom he loves with everything he has. Amelia is missing her Dad and is too young to comprehend this situation. We are hoping to be able to provide Tommy and Amelia with resources that will assist with ongoing expenses and any debts that are incurring.
Tommy has always had a kind heart and if ever given the chance he would help anyone in need in any way that he could. He shared his smile with everyone and always had a kind word to say, or something to share in a common interest. He simply wanted the people around him to be comfortable and walk away feeling better than before he greeted them.
We appreciate all the support and kindness everyone has given us through this unprecedented, and trying time and all your prayers are helpful. It is always hard to ask for any financial help, however in this circumstance we feel it is validated to ask if you can try to understand the stress our family is managing and worrying about each day and how we will be able to sustain the resources Tommy and Amelia need.
