Victims of the 'Click Adventure' scam on Steam need your help.

In September 2025, dozens of Steam users worldwide had their accounts compromised and their Steam Wallet balances drained. The funds were funneled through fake marketplace items tied to a game called 'Click Adventure' - which Valve has since banned.

Victims lost anywhere from as little as €10 to over $200, with their wallets completely emptied. Despite having Steam Guard enabled, none received login alerts at the time. All victims contacted Steam Support, but were denied refunds with the response that “Community Market purchases cannot be refunded.”

Many users were extremely disappointed with this, with some informing me that they had lost birthday money and months of savings.

We believe this is an exceptional case: a coordinated scam that exploited Steam’s systems and left ordinary players footing the bill.

This fundraiser aims to:

Reimburse verified victims of Click Adventure (capped at their proven loss).

Provide transparency - we will only compensate users who can show receipts, Steam Support ticket numbers, or wallet history screenshots, and they have to be users I've spoken with or acknowledged before this fundraiser, so that I can offer donors full confidence in the individuals' circumstances.

Donate any leftover funds after one month to a consumer protection or anti-scam charity.

Every contribution helps restore funds to those unfairly affected and sends a message that the community stands together when systems fail.

For full transparency, the funds will be paid out to me directly, because as the funds are going to be spread across ~25 different people worldwide and then a charity for the remaining amount, this was just the most practical way to arrange it, and I know I am relying on some of the hopeful goodwill and trust I've bankrolled on the Steam platform over the years.
