<div>In September 2025, dozens of Steam users worldwide had their accounts compromised and their Steam Wallet balances drained. The funds were funneled through fake marketplace items tied to a game called 'Click Adventure' - which Valve has since banned.
</div>

<div>Victims lost anywhere from as little as €10 to over $200, with their wallets completely emptied. Despite having Steam Guard enabled, none received login alerts at the time. All victims contacted Steam Support, but were denied refunds with the response that “Community Market purchases cannot be refunded.”

<div>Many users were extremely disappointed with this, with some informing me that they had lost birthday money and months of savings.
</div>

</div>
<div>We believe this is an exceptional case: a coordinated scam that exploited Steam’s systems and left ordinary players footing the bill.

<div>David needs our help. After battling some health issues for the last several years, David entered the hospital a little over two weeks ago with severe pneumonia. While in the hospital he developed a heart condition called tachycardia, a rapid and irregular heartbeat, that prevented necessary treatment for the pneumonia. Eventually getting the tachycardia under control, doctors were able to drain the fluid from David's lung and stomach, but discovered that David has Stage IV lung cancer.

Back then, those of us who got to know him dubbed him "The Family Man," a moniker he took to the ring with him, as his love and dedication to his wife and kids...and now, his grandkids...was always at the very forefront. As you all well know, there isn't a harder working, more dedicated husband, father, and friend than David.

Despite his unassuming nature, David, once a martial arts practitioner in his younger days, possesses one of the strongest, most determined wills one could have, and will never back down from a fight. This gofundme has been created in order to help his current victims afford legal defences.<br /><br />Any money raised will be used to support David Race, the best Pac-Man player in the world.
