Hi, my name is Mikhail and I'm starting a GoFundMe to raise money for the Cooper Rice-Brading Foundation. Cooper was one of my closest friends from primary school, and we remained very close even after I moved to Melbourne for high school. He was an incredible person, and I miss him dearly.

I'm running the Christchurch Marathon in his memory, dedicating my run to him and this cause that's so close to my heart. My goal is to not only honour Cooper but also to raise awareness about sarcoma and the vital work the Cooper Rice-Brading Foundation does.

Sarcoma is a rare and aggressive form of cancer that develops in the connective tissues of the body, such as bone, muscle, fat, and blood vessels. It can affect people of all ages, but it's more common in children and young adults. Because it's so rare, sarcoma research and treatment are often underfunded, making the work of foundations like the Cooper Rice-Brading Foundation even more crucial. 

The Cooper Rice-Brading Foundation is dedicated to supporting sarcoma research, raising awareness of this often overlooked cancer, and providing care packs to patients undergoing treatment. They strive to improve outcomes for sarcoma patients through funding innovative research projects and offering practical support during challenging times. They make a real difference in the lives of people battling this challenging cancer, and I'm incredibly passionate about supporting their mission.
