Hi I am Merlene. In late July, I’ll be taking on the incredible challenge of climbing Mount Fuji — not just for the adventure, but to raise support for something I believe in deeply: the Paddy Ashdown Policy Research Forum (PAF).

PAF a think-and-action tank was inspired by the life and legacy of Lord Paddy Ashdown – a passionate internationalist and bridge-builder. The forum brings together bold thinkers, policy experts, and leaders from East and West to tackle the biggest issues of our time: climate change, inequality, conflict, and rapid tech transformation.

Why This Climb?

Because climbing a mountain is nothing compared to bridging global divides. This isn’t just a personal test — it’s a call to action.
