Braving the shave for Lung Foundation Australia
In late August this year, I will be shaving my head to raise funds for the Lung Foundation Australia in honour of my dad Grahame, who is currently fighting his own battle with terminal lung cancer.
Despite the many challenges my dad has had to face this year, he has continued to take it all in his stride, with unrelenting courage and tenacity.
One of his most recent challenges has been having to endure chemotherapy, which has seen him lose all of his hair.
I have chosen to shave my head in solidarity with my dad and to raise funds for a cause that is close to all of our hearts, as lung cancer has affected a number of loved ones in our family.
With my dad as my inspiration, I hope to raise funds to help other families have access to early intervention and treatment for this insidious disease.
Anything you can donate towards this cause is deeply appreciated.
the Lung Foundation Australia work to ensure lung health is a priority for all - from promoting lung health and early diagnosis, to supporting people with lung disease. They champion equitable access to treatment and care, and support health professionals through education and resources.
A heartfelt thank you from our family
